BLACKPINK member Jennie doesn't usually talk about her family, but fans know that she's a little bit like her mother because of some of her photos. Jennie, who appeared on “You Quiz on the Block,” talked about her childhood and even opened up about an incident that made her cry.

Jennie, who came to Korea at a young age and stood on her own two feet, talked about her childhood in detail. She wanted to become a world-famous singer because she wanted to make her sister proud.

Fans were impressed by her closeness with her family and parents, and Jennie herself said that her family is like a normal family. "My mother and I are just like the mother and daughter we see every day." She also revealed how important her mother was in Jennie's life. "I came to New Zealand to study abroad when I was 10 years old. My mother stayed with me for the first 2 months, but then I had to live on my own in a homestay. Learning to speak English quickly taught me how to be independent, how to adapt to a new place, and how to mature mentally. Without my family, and the days I spent alone abroad as a child, I was able to stand out in the Kpop industry. So, at the age of 14, I came to Korea on my own and decided to pursue my dream of entering the music industry. That's when I was selected by YG and became a member of BLACKPINK." She then opened up about how she cried on stage after seeing her mother. "I couldn't control my emotions when I saw the video of my mother crying in the audience below the stage. I couldn't help but cry on stage without realizing it." Everyone knew that the moment she cried and said "I love my mother" from the stage was because of this. It may seem simple, but she worked hard to make her mother proud of her daughter's success. Jennie's mother must have been happy and tearful about her daughter's success.
